Since the 1950s, family therapy has evolved from its basis as a philosophical construct to a well-organized, highly-regarded, and effective modality of healthcare. The purpose of this presentation is to review the current trends in family therapy research and practice. Attention will be paid to trends in service-delivery, populations, presenting problems, and treatment frameworks.
Focus:
- Development of integrative frameworks
- Application of theoretical frameworks to contemporary populations and presenting problems
- Transition from in-person to telebehavioral health services
Ziel:
- Participants will be able to define 3rd order change
- Participants will be able to list trends in the family therapy published literature
- Participants will be able to list predicted trends in family therapy
Methode:
This lecture will be provided didactically with an opportunity for engagement from attendees through question and answer.
